Who We Are

We operate the website at kwowta.com and the Kwowta mobile and web application (collectively, "the Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data we collect about you.
You can contact us at any time about data matters: support@kwowta.com
What Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: Name, email address, phone number, company name, trade type — provided when you sign up or join the beta.
- Business data: Quotes, customer information, materials, labour rates, invoices, and other content you create inside the App. This data belongs to you.
- Survey responses: If you complete our market survey, we collect your answers along with your name and email.
- Device data: Device type and operating system preference (collected during beta signup).
- Usage analytics: Anonymised and aggregated data about how features are used — no personal identifiers attached.
- Communications: Any emails or messages you send to us at support@kwowta.com.
We do not collect payment card data directly — this is handled by our payment processor if and when billing is introduced.
Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)
- Contract performance: To provide the App and the beta programme to you.
- Legitimate interests: To improve the product, respond to support requests, and understand how the App is used.
- Consent: To send you product updates and beta programme communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: To comply with applicable UK laws, including GDPR (UK) and the Companies Act.

- To fulfil any legal obligations we are subject to.
We will never sell your personal data. We will never pass it to advertisers or use it for any purpose other than those listed above.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom and/or European Economic Area. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and access controls to protect your data.
During the beta period, we use Google Forms to collect survey and signup data. Google's privacy policy governs their handling of that data: policies.google.com/privacy.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure of personal data. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: We delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days of a deletion request, except where we are required to retain it by law.
- Beta survey responses: Retained for up to 2 years for product research purposes, then deleted or fully anonymised.
- Support communications: Retained for up to 3 years for quality and compliance purposes.
